It started with the keen skills of Dr. Brian Halpern who instantly recognized that my sudden onset of shin splints was a serious lower back problem that had developed. I was training at 65 to take my first vacation in years to go climbing in the Alps."

"In July of 2013 Dr. Darren Lebl of the HSS did spinal revision surgery on the L 3,4 and 5 area of my spine which was successful. After the surgery and following a physical therapy program recommended by Dr. Lebl I can not only walk but am skiing again after missing two seasons."
