On April 9, 2016 during one of my high school lacrosse games I got hit from the side and collapsed to the ground. As I fell I heard a popping noise and knew something was wrong. The day I found out I tore my ACL I was shocked and devastated. When I went to HSS and heard about this ACL repair surgery Dr. DiFelice performed, I was immediately on board. He talked about how this procedure was less invasive and had a much faster recovery time. I had the surgery 10 days after my injury and the recovery was not nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I was cleared 6 months later and I was back on the field playing lacrosse. Unfortunately the day of my first lacrosse tournament back I tore my other ACL. As I went down (this time no contact) I heard that same popping noise and instantly knew I had just done the same thing. Going back to HSS Dr. DiFelice reassured me everything was going to be fine and I was ready to get the surgery and start the recovery process again. I had the ACL repair surgery on my other leg 10 days after my injury. I am currently 3 and a half months out from surgery two and I am feeling amazing! I am running working out and feel no pain in either knee! If it were not for Dr. DiFelice and his staff's support I would not be where I am today!
