I would like to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Gausden and her care team.

In the year leading up to my hip replacement in September 2024, my mobility declined rapidly. Even walking down a hallway became difficult. As a nurse working on a busy unit, this was both discouraging and, at times, frightening.

From my very first consultations with Dr. Gausden, I felt immediately at ease. After just two visits, I was confident I was in the right hands, which meant a great deal to me going into surgery.

Thanks to Dr. Gausden’s exceptional skill and care, my life today is very different. I was able to return to work after nine weeks, and over time I’ve resumed the activities I love - cycling and walking in the park. Since my surgery, I’ve even hiked Table Mountain and gone whitewater rafting on the Zambezi River - certainly not what most people would expect after a hip replacement! Thankfully, everything is holding up beautifully.

As a nurse myself, I do not give compliments lightly - I understand what happens behind the scenes - and your team impressed me at every step. Everyone I encountered demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and dedication.

I am deeply grateful not only to Dr. Gausden, but also to Hayden Newman, PA, for excellent follow-up care, and to Samantha Taylor for making every part of the process seamless. You made what could have been overwhelming feel smooth and manageable, and that truly made a difference.

Thank you all. You didn’t just restore my hip - you restored my mobility, independence, confidence, and sense of adventure.

Dr. Gausden, thank you for the incredible work you do every day. You have given me back not only my mobility, but also my quality of life.
