I have been dedicated to fitness and living a healthy lifestyle for most of my adult life. I have been a weight lifter for almost 40 years and unfortunately, I have had my share of serious injuries. Over thirteen years ago I needed a lumbar spinal fusion, followed 5 months later with a broken shoulder that required surgery. None of these set backs ever stopped me from participating in the sport that I am passionate about. Pain is part of the game and I am a willing participant.

In late fall of 2014 I really stepped up my game training 2 hours a day, 5-6 times a week. I wanted to get in the best shape possible as I was starting a fitness venture and I needed to be ready for photos. After a month I started experiencing some pain in my knee, which I attributed to my aggressive workouts. I also started to feel pain in the groin and started to think I was having problems with my back again. As it turned out, my left hip was the culprit and I required a total hip replacement. The pain came fast and furious and surgery needed to be done quickly.

I was lucky to be given Dr. Jerabek's name and from the first encounter with his office I knew I was in great hands. Dr. Jerabek arranged for the surgery to be done immediately and the result was nothing short of a miracle. I was back in the gym 2 months after surgery and my gait is not off a hair. Now that 4 months have passed, I am training more aggressively than ever and I attribute that to the masterful hands of Dr. Jerabek. I am stronger and have more endurance than I did prior to surgery. I believe many of the aches and pains I attributed to my back were actually coming from my hip.

Not only did Dr. Jerabek provide exceptional medical care his manner was kind and understanding. He never rushed me and answered all of my questions and concerns (and believe me I had many!) I am almost 64 and feel the best I have in years. And I will be taking those photos next week.

Thank you Dr. Jerabek!
