Having endured several years of increasingly painful and debilitating knee pain, and later, foot pain due to a torn plantar fascia, heel spur and calcium deposits, I was treated with NSAIDs and later, cortisone injections in both areas. While modest relief resulted in each case for a very short period of time, any relief quickly abated and the pain continued to the point where walking, doing stairs, and even stepping off of a curb to cross the street were painfully challenging.

Dr. Brian Halpern suggested Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP), first for my knees, following attempts to remedy these problem with NSAIDS and steroid injections. The results of PRP were and continue to be astonishingly good and, thus far, permanent, several years later. I no longer have knee pain and am able to resume almost all activities that had been difficult and painful for me.

Based upon the success of PRP for my knee problem, Dr. Halpern suggested that PRP could work for my foot issues. Again, following administration of PRP and the prescribed post-procedure care, including wearing a "rocker" boot for several weeks, I am happy to report that my foot is completely pain free, and poses no further problems.

Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (and Dr. Halpern) have changed my life, significantly, for the better. Both knees and my foot are pain-free.
