I consulted with Dr. Positano on several occasions in the past each resulting in a very positive outcome. He made orthotics for different kinds of shoes (sneakers, sandals, pumps) that all fit very well and alleviated the pain I was experiencing at the time.

6mo-1yr later, after deciding that I wanted another pair of orthotics, a friend gave me the name of a podiatrist who accepted Medicare. I mistakenly thought orthotics would be covered if it were a doctor accepting Medicare. I offered him the orthotics made by Dr. Positano thinking they could just be copied but that is not done.

During my first and only appointment, a multitude of x-rays were taken of my feet & my height was measured for very unclear reasons. I was given a type of baggie to don on my feet, and stood in a bowl of water with substance to take an imprint.

When I picked up the new orthotics, my feet were overpronated. I was told to just try them for a week or two and come back if there was a problem. I did try them for a little while and started having difficulty with my foot and knee. Because there was no point in returning, I, with my head down, returned to Dr. Positano to tell him that he has no competition in the foot world and to ask for another pair of orthotics!!!!!
