Thanks to Dr. Siegel and the HSS team, I'm back to hiking, climbing, and living life to the fullest.

When I started at HSS in late 2023, walking into the building could be a challenge. I'd recently begun to experience intermittent body aches, fever, and exhaustion. It kept me from my usual runs and gym time, but at first I didn't think much of it. Soon enough the aches became quite bothersome. It was difficult to put on my shoes, open doors, and walk for extended periods of time. One day I realized I couldn't get out of bed without assistance.

Dr. Siegel worked tirelessly to find and troubleshoot treatments that provided relief in the short term and a more fundamental and sustainable recovery in the long term.

Two and a half years later, I'm able to hike upstate, lift barbells exceeding my bodyweight, and run several miles at a time. More importantly, I'm able to reassure those who struggle with autoimmune diseases that, with the right treatment team, a return to normal is possible.
