After 3 years of knee pain and instability, I finally found the light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Alberto Carli was that light. Because of Dr. Carli's ability and vast knowledge of the knee, he was able to relieve my pain, stabilize my knee, remove scar tissue from 2 previous surgeries and one car accident. And most importantly he gave me hope and the ability to walk with very little pain. My journey for relief took me to orthopedic surgeons who did not help or were unable to help, pain management doctors, physical therapists, as well as walkers, canes and braces. Nothing and no one relieved the pain. After much research and studying, I found HSS and Dr. Carli. He accepted me as a patient after reviewing all the surgeries and problems I experienced. Dr. Carli met with my husband and me and said he could help me. After an MRI and x-rays and many other tests, I was scheduled for surgery March 16, 2022. That day changed my life forever. Dr. Carli and his dedicated staff of assistants, technicians and nurses and anesthesiologists and many more, placed a hinge in my knee and removed scar tissue and worked his wonders on me. Within one day of surgery, I was walking with the help of a walker, and I had less pain than I experienced for 3 years before. Today I am 10 weeks out of surgery and am walking on my own and have very little pain. I know I have a long road until I am completely recovered, as Dr. Carli has told me. But to be at this point in my long, long path of knee problems, I am so grateful and thankful that I found Dr. Carli.
