I was going to see Dr. Kinderknecht for a couple of years for arthritis in my knees. He would give shots of Synvisc which would help for a while, but when I went to him with a long list of what I couldn't do any more, he said "it's time" and promised to find me a great surgeon. He also said he thought I was a candidate for partial knee replacement surgery. I saw Dr. Andrew Pearle, and he agreed, setting up the first surgery for December of 2011 and the second one for April of 2012. Both surgeries went well and I went through physical therapy for both, totally enjoying it. I am now able to do all the things I couldn't, swim twice a week, play golf, bowl, garden and hike. This past August our family had a family reunion in Salt Lake City, Utah. One of the festivities was a wildflower hike up Alta Mountain. Being a Master Gardener, I really wanted to go, and did, but never thought I would complete the hike. Complete it I did, and found myself 9300 feet at the top, at Cycret Lake. It was the best feeling I've ever had, and a truly thank Dr. Pearle and the talented team he assembled to giving me my life back. It is wonderful!!
