While on an Alaskan cruise this past May, I incurred a very painful sciatica condition that affected my right leg. Although I was remote, Dr. Wyss and his staff provided me with valuable guidance pending my return to New York. Upon my return, an MRI conducted by HSS indicated a herniated L5-L6 disc.
Dr. Wyss recommended that I be given an epidural steroid injection to hasten my recovery. Within a week of the injection, I was pain-free. Upon the subsequent completion of two month's physical therapy, I regained 95% of my right leg's strength and mobility. By Labor Day I was able to resume full activity.
