In 2005, I had a ski accident in the Dolomites. I was misdiagnosed as having a Grade 1 shoulder separation and they wanted to put screws in my shoulder joint. Dr. Sculco recommended Dr. Cordasco as he was a sports medicine surgeon. I have always been a competitive swimmer (individual medley- all four strokes).
Dr. Cordasco saw me March 2005 and after an MRI, diagnosed with AC joint disruption, all ligaments and tendons ripped, and a torn labrum. It was grade 5. I was operated on a few days later. He made me get back on the skis in December, too.
Dr. Cordasco gave me my life back and use of my left arm! As a competitive athlete, nothing is worse than feeling helpless.
