I have been in severe hip pain for 6 years and it was affecting my life in very negative ways. My first appointment with Dr. Gausden is the first time I felt hopeful that something could be done. Dr. Gausden made me feel at ease, was extremely informative and professional, and treated me with kindness and compassion. She let me know I could go ahead with surgery to replace both hips.
I received my first surgery one month ago and was up walking unassisted with no pain only one week later after surgery. I am overjoyed at the outcome of this surgery and am now pain-free on my right side. My left hip also needs to be replaced and I am getting it replaced in one month with Dr. Gausden. I cannot wait for my pain to be gone and really looking forward to my second surgery and living a normal life once again.
From the first appointment, HSS and Dr. Gausden's team has been there for me. The hospital staff and nurses at HSS are amazing, and Dr. Gausden's office staff has always been available to answer questions that I have and are always very pleasant and easy to communicate with concerning scheduling.
I very highly recommend Dr. Gausden, her staff, and HSS for your orthopedic needs. You will be very happy with your results. My goal is to be able to enjoy life again and do the things that I love again without being in excruciating pain. I am halfway there. Dr. Gausden has given me that.
