Cervical radiculopathy refers to a pinching or inflammation of a cervical nerve (in the neck) from its exit point in the spine, called the neuroforamen. The symptoms of cervical radiculopathy are usually acute neck pain, but may also include pain, numbness, or weakness in different areas of the arm, shoulder, or hand. Treatment can be nonsurgical, minimally invasive, or require surgical intervention. Read patient stories about their experience with cervical radiculopathy at HSS.
