My story started 1981/1982 with Dr. O'Leary when I was 10 years old. I came to him wearing a Milwaukee brace. At his suggestion, my parents upgraded my brace to a more comfortable one. When my curves increased to 45 to 50 degrees, surgery was necessary. Dr. O'Leary and Dr. Neuwirth would perform my surgery. It was a success. Over 30 years later I live with Harrington rods and am pain-free. What I remember is that Dr. O'Leary was kind and sensitive.
