I tripped, fell, and landed on my shoulder on a sidewalk. As soon as I fell, I knew I had done some damage because of the intense pain, but after orthopedic surgeons in the ER were able to perform closed reduction to put the arm back in, I thought I was done. Boy was I wrong.
I followed up with Dr. DiFelice, and an MRI revealed that there was also a fracture in the shoulder bone. After weighing the pros and cons, I decided to have an arthroscopic surgery to repair the fracture. Dr. DiFelice did a masterful job with the repair, and he met with me several times post-surgery to assess the progress of recovery. After completing the PT, I'm back to about 95% in my shoulder mobility and strength. I could not have asked for better care.
