I came to Dr. Cody in February 2019 for a second opinion. I had a bunionectomy in December of 2017 and had complications from the surgery. Dr. Cody took x-rays of my foot and asked me to tell her my story - why was I there and what could she do for me? She took the time to listen to what I had to say and then comforted me when I realized I was going to have to have surgery again to fix my foot. Dr. Cody made me feel like there was hope when I thought all hope was lost. I was terrified that, at my young age, my foot might be permanently damaged. She kept me calm while she explained what reconstructive surgery entailed and assured me that she would be there every step of the way. On April 19, 2019, I underwent reconstructive foot surgery with Dr. Cody and as of August 19th - 4 months later - I am 100% healed. I cried my entire way home from relief and happiness knowing that my foot was fine and that I would be able to just go for a walk without pain, something I hadn't been able to do since the first surgery. It was the best experience I have ever had with a doctor. She was my surgical magician and my hope for a painless future all rolled into one. I can't ever thank her enough for everything she's done for me - she gave me my life back. Thank you, Dr. Cody! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
