Segundo Sandoval

For many years, I have suffered from rheumatoid arthritis. I was treated at various hospitals throughout the city with no results, until I came to Hospital for Special Surgery. In 2013, I came in through their doors in a wheelchair with little mobility and a lot of pain. I was able to get a total left knee replacement that helped me to have little pain, and today, with the grace of God, and my rheumatology fellows, I feel much better and I am walking again. My medication treatment is very good and it continues to work for me.

I especially want to thank VOICES60+ social worker, Alba Rosa, LMSW, for her support throughout my care here. She has always been available to help me.

Durante muchos años, he sufrido de Artritis Reumatoide. Recibí tratamiento en varios hospitales de la ciudad sin resultados, hasta que llegué al Hospital for Special Surgery. En el 2013, entré por sus puertas en una silla de rueda, con poca movilidad, y mucho dolor. Pude obtener un reemplazo total de la rodilla izquierda que me ayudó a sentir poco dolor, y hoy, con la gracias de Dios y mis doctores de reumatología, me siento mucho mejor y estoy caminando. Mi tratamiento de medicamentos es muy bueno y continúa funcionando para mí.
