In January 2015, I fell while skiing in Utah and immediately felt a pop in the my knee. I was tentatively diagnosed with a ACL tear. I contacted the Hospital for Special Surgery as soon as I got back to NY and was referred to Dr. Samuel Taylor. I as preparing myself to go through ACL replacement surgery. However, after reviewing my MRI, Dr. Taylor informed me that my injury was in fact a Tibial spine avulsion fracture. This meant that the ACL and piece of bone could actually be reattached. Dr. Taylor successfully performed the surgery. And with his guidance, I have fully recovered ahead of schedule and am back to running, jumping and doing everything else I normally do. I will probably think twice about getting back on the slopes, however. I would recommend Dr. Taylor and HSS to anyone.
