Our family has enjoyed decades of tennis, camping, cycling and sailing. Thanks in great part to Dr. Answorth Allen, I can continue in that vein. One of my best friends is a nurse educator/trainer at HSS who recommended I see Dr. Allen. He performed two left rotator cuff surgeries. The first was an anterior repair in July 2011 from playfully wrestling with one of my three sons. The second was a posterior repair in February 2018 after moving heavy furniture. Dr. Allen was very considerate of my concerns and thoroughly explained pre-op and post-op procedures. Both surgeries were a resounding success! Follow up visits with Dr. Allen and successful physical therapy sessions went well. I faithfully followed Dr. Allen's directives and resumed normal activities months later. I recommend Dr. Allen to EVERYBODY because he is an excellent surgeon, because of his caring manner and his compassionate staff.
