I knew that as I am aging it was important to do more directed physical exercises but using a trainer at a health club had not worked and I knew I was just not going to do it on my own. So I decided I should step up my plans a notch and go find an exercise physiologist who could put a plan together for me. It was important that whoever I chose could be sensitive to my current medical conditions and structure a workout that made sense and I would want to continue doing.
I knew of the excellent reputation of HSS and looked on their site and found the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Center. The starter training package that included an assessment seemed just what I needed. I called and was assigned to Matt Accetta. During the assessment he seemed to measure everything and asked many questions about my goals and health. We then went onto the training floor where the equipment was and he showed me what a workout might look like. A few days later he sent me a complete review of my physical condition and a workout plan.
I have now been working with Matt weekly for about nine months and he has been terrific. He knows what he is doing and is directed, organized and knows how to keep me motivated. Since starting I have lost weight, gained strength and endurance. Since this program is self-pay, I know it is an investment I am making in myself. With my effort, and HSS plus Matt’s expertise, it is working.
