I started experiencing pain four years ago, and by last September, I could barely stand for more than a short period of time. Thinking it was muscular, I tried working out with exercise and yoga however bone spurs quickly destroyed the joint. By October I was walking with a cane...everywhere. I first visited HSS in January and had a Total Hip Replacement in March of 2015. I was able to retire the cane almost immediately and 33 days after my surgery, I was "back in the game", climbing ladders to remove the covering off my sailboat. I came out of a winter of pain into a spring of getting my life back. Thanks to HSS and Dr. Inglis, I'm looking forward to smooth sailing from here on out.
