I am 80 years old and I am trying to be active but my knees have been so painful it has limited my movement, sports, travel and just daily life. The pain was so draining I was exhausted just trying to walk. I tried shots, a cane, and a walker, but it continued to get worse. I was recommended to see Dr. Alberto Carli and his staff at HSS. I was reluctant, but after meeting Dr. Carli and his staff I felt assured that I was at the correct location to resolve my issue. Dr. Carli and his staff are the best I have ever experienced. They are attentive and do not rush. They answered all my questions and their medical skills are the very best. I had my operation, went home in 24 hours and started at home physical therapy for the first week. I then went to physical therapy three times a week and I am so happy to report that after my 6 week check-up with Dr. Carli , I have 127 degrees of knee flexion and no pain. I wish I had elected this surgery years ago.

Thanks to the skills and talent of Dr. Carli and his staff I have a new lease on what I can even imagine I can do. I am planning a trip to London without any concerns and it is all because of my new total knee replacement and the expert skills of Dr. Carli. Thanks HSS for allowing me to tell my story and hopefully it will help someone avoid the pain I have experienced before the operation.
