Dr. Demetracopolous saved my cycling life. After a NJ misdiagnosed fracture, he performed a calcaneocuboid fusion & revision allowing me to get back on my bike. Thank you Dr D. - you’re the best!

June 4, 2018:

Here I am four months post op with my new right medial knee replacement. Why did I wait so long? This was my tenth knee surgery including compound fracture, arthroscopies, menisectomies and microfractures. I was afraid of knee replacement. Dr. Peter Sculco performed surgery on my right knee on 2/2/18 and I was home that day. After all the previous procedures, my anxiety was not warranted. As a five thousand mile a year cyclist, I was unwilling to give up my sport due to arthritis. I’ve been back on the road since six weeks post op and am amazed at the improvement. Dr. Sculco and his NP Joy are knowledgeable, thorough, responsive and all around awesome. His entire staff, just like all the HSS staff are compassionate, professional and caring. Thank you all for getting me back on my bike, there is no greater gift! See you again when the left knee runs out of gas...
