I suffered from a triceps tendon tear after taking a fall during a football game. I had never had any surgery prior to this incident and I have to tell you I wasn't terribly happy with the idea of "going under the knife," that is until I met Dr. Dines. From the minute walked in the door my mind was put at ease. The level of knowledge and professionalism was exactly what I needed to put aside any concerns about the surgery. Dr. Dines and his staff gave me the time and attention I needed. He explained things in terms I could understand regarding what had happened and how I was going to be affected moving forward.
On surgery day, everyone I came into contact with was kind and professional. I knew from the minute I stepped into pre-surgery that I was in good hands. If it wasn't for the knowledge and skill of the men and women of HSS I am confident I would not have recovered to the degree that I have.
As an avid cyclist, bagpiper, sports fanatic, not to mention police officer and volunteer firefighter, I rely on the strength and abilities of my arms. The demands I place on them are very high. After experiencing a rather traumatic injury I can say with great pleasure that my arm feels 20 years younger. After 6 months, I feel stronger and suffer from less pain than I believed possible.
I cannot thank Dr. Josh Dines and the entire HSS staff enough they are truly the best of the best.
