I got hit by a car in Winter 2018 that resulted in a bone fracture in my left foot and a Lisfranc injury. I was a marathon runner and when I was told the diagnosis I wasn't sure I would be able to run again. Dr. Levine told me it is a serious injury but that he would do all he could to help me get back to running. And he did! The recovery from a bone fusion surgery is long and necessitates a lot of Physical Therapy. But thanks to Dr. Levine’s expertise and the HSS team, I was able to go back to running. In 2020, I ran over 1000 miles and completed the New York City Virtual Marathon, 26.2 miles in the Rockaways, NYC.
Thank you Dr. Levine and thank you HSS!
