Hello, I am a 57-year-old man. I'm 6'1 and 290 lbs, so I am on the bigger side. I had terrible debilitating left knee arthritis I had many prior surgeries as a result of being bone on bone since I was basically 13-years-old. It's been a lifelong battle of pain. I was told over 20 years ago that I needed total knee replacement. I refused to even entertain the thought of such a surgery and it all ended up being irrational fear. Over the last year I was walking with a cane because the pain was untreatable. From medication to cortisone injections to getting my knee drained basically once or twice a month, nothing worked. I couldn't stand for longer than 5 minutes and always looked for a place to sit. Then I met Dr. Parks, who I must say is the best knee surgeon in the entire world and I have been to many many orthopedic surgeons over my lifetime. Not only did Dr. Parks do a successful total knee replacement, he straightened my leg out as well as my life out. I am 4 weeks post-op and so happy I could just go on and on about this surgery and how life-changing it truly is. So if you're like me and you have a fear of getting a knee replacement and you're living a miserable life of being in horrible pain, don't hesitate another day. Just do it and definitely check out Dr. Parks He truly is a wonderful doctor.
