I was field hockey and soccer player and had had right hip/groin pain for 12 years before I eventually was diagnosed with FAI and a labral tear. After a couple of differing opinions locally in Florida I did a lot of research online. All the reports about Dr. Bryan Kelly and HSS were very positive. I saw Dr. Kelly in Sept 2010 and he assured me that he could help. Surgery on my right hip was December 2010. Dr. Kelly and his team were amazing, the surgery went really well and recovery was very straight forward. I am based in Florida but I didn't feel the distance, any queries I had were quickly answered and I felt I got all the support I needed. I was back running at 4 months post op, back at soccer at 7 months and completed my first ever half marathon just under one year post op. I know that I made the right choice with Dr. Kelly and HSS. Since then I have had the same surgery on my left hip and was back running at 3 months post op. I feel like I have been given a new lease of life, no more pain and limping.
