I received bilateral hip surgery (each surgery 3 months apart) at the end of my freshman year in high school. Feeling debilitated from surgery, in a wheel chair for sometime, and crutches for almost a year, I was worried I would never get back to being an athlete - something I defined myself by. Without the help of the physical therapists at HSS, and my doctor, Bryan T. Kelly, I would not be where I am today. I am currently in my third year of college, the leading scorer of the Washington and Lee Women's lacrosse team, and a member of the Italian National lacrosse team. I am thankful everyday for being given the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level, and simply walk without pain daily. It is my dream to someday work as a Physician Assistant at HSS and help others as they have helped me.
