I am a fit person who enjoys aerobics, daily power-walking, Pilates, Barre, and travel! After 2 1/2 years of increasing pain in both legs, which progressed to intermittent numbness in one foot, I knew that there was something seriously wrong. After being diagnosed with spondylolistheses with severe spinal stenosis, I made the decision to seek out an orthopedic surgeon who could help restore my body. I wanted to not only be pain-free, but able to be as active as I was before my diagnosis if possible. Dr. Russel Huang and his excellent care team have done exactly that for me. My L4-L5 fusion with instrumentation was done at the end of August 2022 and 6 months later after completing 8 weeks of PT, I am able to do everything low/no impact that I did before, and most importantly, pain-free! Dr. Huang and his team as well as the HSS nursing staff and all the other support staff who helped care for me during my time at HSS were exceptional, professional, and compassionate. I am truly thankful to him, and to them all. I simply cannot recommend strongly enough Dr. Russel Huang, and his entire team. From his office's front desk staff to his surgical staff as well as HSS as a facility for treatment.
