I was referred by my very good friend to see Dr. Kramskiy a few years ago because I needed treatment for both my knees, which were in bad shape. Both knees were bone-on-bone and we started pain management treatments, which have been successful and the reason why I am walking without knee surgery today. That was 7 years ago and doing great still! After my last knee treatment Dr. Kramskiy noticed something with my lower spine/lumbar back. I have been experiencing an extreme amount of pain in my lower back for a short while and found it hard to walk, sit, and sleep but just brushed it away as getting older or having to do with my knees. However, it turned out that my spine was curving. Physical therapy did not help and I was immediately scheduled for an MRI as well as a medial branch block for the right and left side of my lower spine. With this procedure, medial nerves are blocked with an anesthetic that brings on pain relief or numbness to the injected area. The final treatment was radiofrequency denervation intervention of the sacroiliac joints, which helps the nerves that are damaged become less painful. May I tell you how my living with this excruciating pain has been silenced! No more pain! I will say it again; I have no pain in my spine or lower back! The procedure was done as an outpatient and the nurses and staff are all wonderful and caring. They all made me feel comfortable and cared for. I went into the procedure with confidence because I knew Dr. Kramskiy was at the helm and because I trusted no other doctor to perform this very delicate procedure. I was a little bit uncomfortable through the procedure, which lasted 15 minutes for 3 sessions each (depending on your insurance) but after a few months I am happy to say that I am pain-free! I will not need another procedure for another 12-18 months, maybe less. Dr. Kramskiy is an incredible doctor who’s experience and professionalism matches no one else out there. Not only has he taken great care of my health, but also he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I would highly recommend this doctor and his staff!
