I was referred to Dr. Gregory DiFelice at HSS by a friend who suffered the same injury and who had excellent results with this surgeon. It was one of the best decisions of my life and I consider myself very lucky that I found myself in his office.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. DiFelice, he is a pioneering surgeon. His supporting staff at HSS are the best. Robert O'Brien - physician assistant, Caitlin Ryan ATC and all the staff at HSS could not have been more professional, skilled and caring through every step, from diagnosis, explanation of options, surgery, post-surgical care and follow-up.

I knew at my first consultation that I was in excellent hands. His explanation of the type of injury I had and his innovative approach gave me full confidence that this was absolutely the right path to take.

I was diagnosed with a complete tear of the ACL and had my surgery on August 6th 2021. Instead of taking the path of a standard reconstruction, Dr. DiFelice performed a repair, which is his pioneering “preservation first” approach, and this followed by consistent physiotherapy (3 times per week) significantly accelerated my recovery time.

I am 60 years old, love to ski and play tennis and had always viewed sport as my fitness regime.

My biggest motivation was Dr. DiFelice telling me that I could be back on the tennis court and on my skis in just a few months. Well, I am back on the tennis court 4 1/2 months after my surgery. This video is the first time I stepped back on court to see what my knee could do. It felt good to be out there, even if a little tentative at first my knee felt strong and with a custom knee brace it won’t be long before I am back to full activity. The ski slopes are my next goal!

Thank you Dr. DiFelice.
