I am a 67-year-old athlete who skis at a very high level and plays lots of golf. Unfortunately, my body parts are wearing out. In the past ten years, Dr. James Farmer repaired my back and I walked a mile the next day, Dr. Russell Warren repaired my shoulder, and now Dr. Gregory DiFelice replaced my old knee, and I played 18 holes of golf 58 days after surgery. One of the reasons I choose HSS is because there are no sick patients at the hospital. Every time I am at HSS every member of the staff has always been extremely professional and will go out of their way to make you comfortable. I have always felt that HSS has the best and most experienced doctors in the country.

Thank you, Dr. Gregory DiFelice, for getting me back on the slopes. I was a competitive skier and have been skiing for over 60 years. I had total knee replacement March 2023 and played eighteen holes of golf 58 days after surgery. This winter I was back skiing the trees at Alta, deep powder at Powder Mountain Utah, and at Steamboat Springs I was able to hike up to the weather station and ski down Saint Pat's and Triangle Three trees from top to bottom. At 68 years old, it takes a lot of working out but if it wasn't for Dr. DiFelice, my career probably would be over. HSS is the greatest hospital simply because there are no sick people there. The staff is always extremely professional and cannot do enough to make you comfortable.
