My name is Joseph Rahmey. I am 15 years old and I have been an avid water skier since I was 8 years old. While away on vacation with my family, I decided to snowboard. On my first day, I took a nasty spill and broke my wrist. When we returned home, I visited a doctor and he told me that I had broken my scaphoid and he put on a cast. A week later I went to Dr. Andrew Weiland at Hospital for Special Surgery. Through an X-ray, we discovered that a cyst had formed in between the two halves of the broken bone. Two days after that I went into surgery and Dr. Weiland put a titanium screw into my wrist to hold my bone together so it can heal properly. The whole process at HSS was flawless. Everything was so easy and everyone was so nice. This summer I am looking forward to water skiing with renewed strength after my surgery. I'm ready to get Back in the Game.
