About two months before the NYC Marathon where I had planned to qualify for Boston, my back gave out. I was devastated that I had to pull out of the race and that injury kicked off a long recovery where I continued to feel residual nerve pain. I still had the goal of wanting to get back to racing though. At the end of my PT sessions with the amazing Jess Hettler, she suggested I continue my recovery and start training with Pam. On 1/9/20 I had my first session with Pam. Little did I know how much she would change my life. Fast forward to August 2023 and I am arguably in the best shape of my life (while being almost 6 months pregnant mind you!). I can honestly say if it wasn’t for Pam, I would be stuck in a cycle of chronic pain and recurring injuries. From Day 1, Pam took the time to understand my body and my goals. Through her expertise, patience, ability to make adaptations to my regimen, as well as her attention to detail, Pam introduced me to a new version of myself: A smarter, stronger runner who is no longer chasing seconds and minutes but the feel-good side of the sport. At six months pregnant and wanting to continue running and strength training, there’s only one person I would ever trust with my new changing body, Pam. Sure Boston may not be on the roadmap anytime soon, but Pam helped me get back in the game with a fresh mindset and teachings that have me feeling the best I have felt in years. I feel so fortunate to be able to work with Pam. She is truly the best of the best!
