Dr. Levine really did get me back in the game. My right foot had given me trouble for years, but I continued to exercise and walk with pain because I previously had unsuccessful surgery (not at HSS) on my other foot and was very wary of going through more pain. By the summer of 2014, however, I had reached the point that walking a block to the bus stop was too painful and fun exercise like aerobic dancing was out of the question. So I bit the bullet and scheduled the surgery. I must admit that it was not fun to be totally incapacitated for 6 weeks and partially incapacitated for another few weeks, but I would do it again in a minute. Forget walking to the bus stop, I am dancing again and taking fun zumba classes. Not just back in the game, but better than before.
