May 11, 2014, I suffered an ACL injury and a tear in the medial meniscus while playing soccer. I have never been injured before and knew this was bad when they had to carry me off the field. May 16, 2014, I was seen by Dr. DiFelice and knew that this was the surgeon I wanted to fix my ACL. He came in and was straight forward and told it like it was. He made it quite clear that he would know if I was serious about my game as I told him I was. He told me he was an athlete played in college Division 1 and he knew what it takes.
I started PT pre-surgery to get my quad strong. I had surgery on June 24, 2014, and as March 2015, I was back in the game and I have Dr. DiFelice and his staff to thank for that, along with Nicole and Tony from Island Shore PT in East Islip. - Jason Scott
As parents it's devastating to see your child suffer. It was so stressful to know that we would have to make decisions and pray we were making the right ones knowing that Jason wants to play in college. All of our fears were put to rest once we met and spoke with Dr. DiFelice. The care and compassion that he showed was amazing and answered all of our questions.
