After 60 years or so of throwing baseballs, the old rotator cuff was giving up the ghost. Before heading down for my 15th year at Mets Fantasy Camp, an MRI and Dr. Joshua Dines determined a rebuild was in order. Surgery scheduled for a week after my return from Florida, and the heat was on for Dr. Dines since I won the Tom Seaver Award for Best Pitcher at Port St. Lucie. Dr. Dines was up for the challenge, and after reconstruction, hardware, and some bone removal I was back on the mound pitching effectively by summer, played in 3 tournaments in August and October (including Cooperstown Championship) and I'm heading to my 16th Mets Fantasy Camp in November - less that 11 months post-op! Back on the mound and Back in the Game! Thanks Dr. Dines, staff and HSS!
