I was very pleased to be treated by the wonderful doctors at HSS, including Dr. Arthur M.F. Yee. I have rheumatoid arthritis and a compromised immune system. Dr. Yee is a great physician who handles his patients with care and consideration. I feel blessed to have had him as my physician. Since my days as a combat infantryman deployed on the front lines in Korea, in an area near or above the 38th parallel, I have suffered severe pain in my hands, wrists and elbows as a result of frostbite sustained during combat. In late 1953, my combat division braved temperatures of 20 degrees below zero, and many of us were hospitalized for frostbite-related damage. Since leaving the army at age 22, I was successfully able to work until the age of 63 when the pain of rheumatoid arthritis overwhelmed me. Thanks to the efforts of the physicians at HSS, I am now able at age 87 to resume many of my normal activities, and my condition is being well-managed. As a result of this wonderful care, I am now able to take walks with my lovely wife Sylvia, who is shown in the attached photograph. To all the physicians at HSS, I offer my sincere thanks for the great care I have received.
Sincerely,
Israel
