This is about my mother, Teresa Paonessa. She had her hips replaced at HSS by Dr. Allan Inglis in 1970. It was a miracle. After healing, she was able to go back to her love of dancing and enjoyed living again. She died December 28, 2010, at 105-years-old with the same hips Dr. Inglis gave her in 1970. I remember one time when she was having some discomfort inherent left hip a put 20 years after the sugary, we went to a Doc in Florida. He was absolutely amazed at the excellent condition both hips were in - practically no wear. She never forgot Dr. Inglis and the wonderful care she received at your hospital. Irene Paonessa.
