Football has always been a huge part of my life. I started playing flag football when I was four, and I’ve loved the game ever since. Quarterback has always been my favorite position and I was so excited to be named the starter on my junior varsity high school team as a freshman. Unfortunately, right before the playoffs, I fractured my right elbow, one of the worst injuries possible for a QB.

Within a few days of my injury, I met with Dr. Fabricant at HSS. He recommended surgery involving placing a screw in my elbow so it would heal correctly. Just 3 days later, I was back at the hospital for the procedure. I was nervous that I might not get back to where I was before the injury, but Dr. Fabricant really helped me stay positive. The procedure went smoothly and Dr. Fabricant and his team’s patient care were outstanding. I started physical therapy almost immediately post surgery and after 6 months, Dr. Fabricant cleared me back to athletics and throwing the football.

This past season, as a sophomore, I was the starting varsity quarterback for my high school team. I threw for over 1000 yards and my arm felt stronger than ever. Exactly one year to the day from my surgery, I led my team to the playoffs. Thank you so much to Dr. Fabricant and his team for their amazing work. I am so grateful for their help getting me Back in the Game!
