I had been suffering from severe knee arthritis for several years. While my friends were walking the golf course, I was relegated to a cart, missing out on the full experience. I went to see a local knee specialist to review my situation which clearly indicated a need for a full knee replacement. My wife insisted I get a second opinion at HSS. At the same time, a good friend told me that going to HSS would be the best decision I could make.

I read one of these Back in the Game stories about a fellow golfer in my town. He had the same issue I had. So, I went to see Dr. Seth Jerabek for a consultation. Within 10 minutes I knew I found the right doctor. He was able to explain in detail the operation, what I should expect post the operation, and the commitment I needed to make to physical therapy for a full recovery. I had the operation in early January and as of the middle of February I am considerably ahead of schedule in my recovery. The physical therapist, Vincent Luppino is amazing. He brings a deep knowledge of the therapy required and what I should expect. Each person is different and his ability to bring out the best in me is evident. I am out walking nearly a mile with ease and have signed up for my second knee in September. I have only mentioned two people by name. However, the entire HSS team is what makes it so special. Each person is nicer then the next one. You feel like you are the center of their attention. They take each step seriously and make you feel right at home. Being a former Global operations leader, I know what it takes to deliver the very best. HSS is the very best.
