Matthew 11:5 "the lame walk"

My pain began in February of 2022. It can be described as a burning that would radiate into my buttocks and down my legs into my feet. I could not stand or walk. At night I would wake up with excruciating buttock and leg pain.

MRI imaging studies that were performed on my lumbar spine indicated I had a L4-L5 disc herniation contributing to marked central spinal stenosis. On July 25, 2023, I underwent spinal decompression surgery at HSS. My surgeon, Dr. James Farmer, did an amazing job. My pain level a week prior to surgery was 10, and I couldn’t stand or walk. When I awoke from surgery, I was totally pain-free. Even the incision in my back didn’t hurt and I was sent home without any pain medication because I wasn't in any pain. At home I was up and walking around again happy to have been given the greatest gift from Dr. James Farmer and the caring staff at HSS.
