Let me express how thankful I am that Dr. Rodriguez and HSS were placed in my life path. My new knees (left knee 2/2020 and right knee 5/2020) continue to far exceed my expectations. This past weekend in MA, I completed the Pan-Mass Challenge: a 186-miles cycling ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown over two days. 109 miles the first day, 77 miles the second day. I rode this event with my husband Corbin and son Tucker. And not a single ping or pain in the knees or supporting muscle groups! The Pan-Mass Challenge is the single biggest athletic fundraising event in the world and has raises money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This year, 6400 riders committed. I have wanted to do this for years and finally was able to (post-COVID) with my knees (and training!)
In addition, I overcame my concern about getting back into tennis and have joined a Pickleball group and play at least 3 times per week (at least two hours at a time). My dog is still loving his 4-5 daily mile walks. And I sleep better than I have in years. Oh I've dropped over 30lbs and am within 10lbs of my wedding day weight. Life at 58 feels like life at 38. I'm so lucky.
You will always be in my thoughts and I'm ever grateful. Best to Dr. Rodriguez and his team always.
