To the whole staff of HSS I could not ask for better care and compassion throughout the whole process. I have never felt more comfortable that I was in the right place for my care.
Dr. Nestor did nothing short of an amazing job with my left hip replacement. From when I was an infant and had a bacterial infection that ate away at my hip and growth plate that caused having surgery at 9 months old, I have always had a shorter left leg and lots of pain and issues that tried to limit my life.
I always found a way to get by and was eventually very athletic. As time went on, my limitations in hip movement and the hip wearing away. It became apparent I needed to consult with Dr. Nestor.
Fast forward and there was no options other than a total replacement, which was done in November 2013. I had to do a lot of PT on both the hip and also having my body get used to the new found length that had me even for first time in my life.
I have to say that I am forever in the debt to Dr. Nestor for the amazing job he did with my hip replacement and how I know my life and ability to do my favorite sporting activity-surfing-has been restored pain free and probably more flexibility to be better than ever!!!
