When I went to HSS for my surgery, I didn't know what to expect, but I think it was the best decision I ever made. I was in so much pain I could just about walk, I was told by Dr. Sama that he was going to anterior lumbar body fusion L5 S1 with posterior lumbar decompression, fusion, segmental spinal instrumentation L6 to S1 and I said "WOW! I don't have clue, but it takes away the pain and I can walk again lets do it." So January 12, 2015 was the date. My goal is to get back on the golf course play golf and to have many years of fun with my wife and family without PAIN. HSS has treated me with the care and respect that anyone going through what I have would need. It has been 7 weeks since my surgery and I am feeling better every day. The pain I had before the surgery is gone. I would just like to thank Dr. Sama and his staff for doing a great job. Also, all the people in the hospital, pain management, and any one that has helped when I had my surgery. I KNOW THAT WITH THE HELP OF HSS, I WILL BE BACK IN THE GAME ON THE GOLF COURSE. THANKS AGAIN.
