Just over five years ago, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Since then, I have been under the care of Dr. Wu. Not only am I able to function as I did five years ago, but I actually feel better than I did at the time of my diagnosis.
My improved health is not solely due to Dr. Wu’s excellent management of my RA. She also identified underlying back issues which, when discussed with other physicians, led to recommendations for surgery. Dr. Wu, however, suggested physical therapy first, explaining that surgery might be avoided. As a result of physical therapy, I have not experienced any serious back issues since - and, most importantly, I avoided surgery altogether.
In addition, Dr. Wu diagnosed dry mouth and dry eyes, monitored my COVID and flu vaccinations, ensured regular eye exams for Plaquenil toxicity, and consistently keeps track of my blood work - often reminding me when tests are due. During appointments, he takes the time to ask thorough questions about my overall health and carefully documents everything, never rushing through visits like many doctors I’ve encountered.
Dr. Wu truly goes above and beyond in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and overall care. I feel incredibly fortunate to be under her care. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my sincere gratitude.
