I'm 35 years old and coach a youth Cheerleading squad in Harlem - the Harlem Jets. I Cheered all throughout high school and it was an amazing experience - it taught me discipline and teamwork. I suffered a Cheer-related knee injury when I was 16 that only mildly bothered me until I reached my 30s. Most of my girls haven't Cheered before and I want to be the best coach I can be so they can enjoy Cheer as much as I did. When I started having trouble tumbling and demonstrating stunts, I met with doctor Riley Williams. He immediately guessed I was either a cheerleader or a soccer player based on my injury, which gave me confidence that he knew what he was doing. Together we came up with a plan and I didn't even have to sit out a season! My squad places 5th at Nationals In Orlando that year and this year we are going for the Championship!!! J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets!!
