I am beyond grateful that I found Dr. Gbolabo Sokunbi. Although we had to travel further than city hospitals closer to home, I had heard such wonderful things about not only the surgeons but the care of the nurses at HSS. I am still amazed how friendly and helpful EVERYONE is at HSS. From the referral line staff to the office staff at my doctors office. I just can’t believe how lucky I am that I received such excellent care. I literally get emotional thinking about it! During my hospital stay you would have thought I had my own nurse (I did not but that’s how attentive the nurses are at HSS). Dr. Sokunbi also treated me as if his main focus was getting me healthy again and out of pain. Dr. Sokunbi did a great job with my cervical fusion. I had very little pain during my recovery. Dr. Sokunbi also helped me figure out which direction I should go in dealing with my back pain which luckily doesn’t need surgery at this time. I have peace of mind that if I should ever need help with my spine I already know where to go. Thank you HSS and a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sokunbi!
