I first saw Dr. Vigdorchik in 2020 via video call. He was my second opinion. I had first received a diagnosis of hip replacement and needed a second opinion on this before I did anything. Dr. Vigdorchik explained everything to me regarding WHY I need the replacement and would most likely need both hips replaced. Being of a younger age for hip replacement, he explained why this was happening to me. In October 2021 I had my first hip replacement. I cannot begin to tell you how much this changed my life for the better. Because of a job change, I needed to wait until I was eligible for FMLA before I was able to have my other hip replaced. In December of 2023 I was able to have my other hip replaced. I was lucky enough to have Dr. Vigdorchik do my second surgery also. At the time of writing this I am currently 30 days post-surgery and currently doing outpatient physical therapy. If there is one thing that I can tell other people contemplating on getting their hip replaced, trust the surgeon, listen to what they say and take their advice. Make sure you do physical therapy, it does help. Don't wait too long because you can cause your body other problems. Hands down HSS is the absolute best place in my opinion to have a total joint replacement. Thank you for letting me say my praise for this great surgeon who changed my life for the better.
