I had a history of osteomyelitis in my left femur and had a flare up in 1999. My whole left leg was swollen and I had a 103 temperature. My primary doctor in Connecticut sent me to HSS' emergency room. I was greeted by Dr. Lane and he said "You're a sick pup and don't worry, we'll take care of you." After three surgeries in 4 days and 3 weeks in HSS I was cured. I lost 35% of the infected femur, but I still have my leg till today 2015. Thank you HSS and Dr. Lane and his team.
